Trust & Permanence

This archive is curated for long-term public discovery.

Permanence

Permanence applies only to approved content. Once a capsule is sealed, it becomes immutable and time-locked until its designated unlock year. After unlocking, it becomes publicly viewable forever.

Sealed capsules cannot be edited by users. What you submit is what will remain, exactly as reviewed and approved.

The archive prioritizes future discoverability and safety. This means that content is reviewed before sealing to ensure it meets our standards and complies with applicable laws.

Review Process

All capsules are reviewed before sealing to protect the integrity of the archive. This review is brief and focused on clear violations of our content policy.

Review exists to protect long-term integrity. The archive is designed to preserve what matters to people today, to be discovered by people tomorrow. We ensure that what enters the archive is appropriate for permanent public display.

Rejected submissions are not stored in the archive and are fully refunded. You may submit different content if you wish.

Technical Guarantees

Once sealed and locked, capsules are stored securely and cannot be modified. The time-lock mechanism ensures that content remains private until its designated unlock year.

After unlocking, content becomes part of the permanent public archive. It is indexed, searchable, and accessible to anyone.

The archive is designed to outlast individual services, platforms, and technologies. We use standard formats and open protocols to ensure long-term accessibility.

Legal & Safety

The archive complies with applicable laws and regulations. Content that violates laws or our content policy is not permitted in the archive.

In rare cases where unlocked content is found to violate archive policies or applicable law, it may be removed from public view. This is an exceptional measure reserved for clear violations.
